Ethan Dettenmaier is an American screenwriter, producer, and director.

Early Career

After starting out in the mail room at Warner Bros., he landed a position with Bel-Air Productions and Producer Steven Reuther (Face Off, Pretty Woman) He went on to become a script doctor for Idiom Films and has since scripted work for Steven Seagal, Dark Horse Comics, producer Paul DeSouza and Jon Divens. Dettenmaier made his filmmaking debut with the horror film Sin-Jin Smyth, which began filming in 2006 and had guitarist Billy Duffy (The Cult) set to do some guitar work. His production company, Snap Kick Productions, also had a TV pilot titled Minxx in negotiations with Intuition Entertainment and was set to serve as producer on the films Job, "Little Iron Men", "Knight Fever" and the new Vietnam film "Tet". He is said to be collaborating with Writer/Director Kenneth Johnson (V, The Incredible Hulk) in the production effort for the Motion Picture "V" based on the original 1983 mini-series. In terms of writing, Dettenmaier is currently developing a novel under the title "Soldiers Of Destruction" along with a biography project involving former Simple Minds bassist Derek Forbes (who was voted Scotland's Best Bass Player Ever) and drummer Brian Mcgee.

Radio

He is currently the voice of Combat Radio which can be heard through the LA Talk Radio Network. The radio show is the subject of both a book and film. He also produces NACA RADIO for the HUD Certified Naca Corp.(Neighborhood Assistance Corporation Of America)and he produces radio content with Derek Forbes the bass player who worked with Simple Minds, Propaganda, David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Peter Gabriel.
